What:

Kristen Pearlstein, Anatomical Collections Manager at the National Museum of Health and Medicine (NMHM) in Silver Spring, Maryland, will present a brief introduction to the challenges and innovations of American military medicine during World War I. NMHM was established during the American Civil War as the Army Medical Museum, a center for research related to battlefield trauma and pathology. The museum's mission to preserve and explore the impact of military medicine spans more than 150 years.
