Art Therapy with Military Service Members: The National Intrepid Center of Excellence

What:

During art therapy sessions, service members at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center are encouraged to process their feelings, experiences and identities artistically with the psychotherapeutic guidance of credentialed art therapists. Hear from one of these art therapists, Melissa Walker, to learn more about NICoE's Healing Arts Program and view a display of several of the masks created by some of her patients. The NICoE is dedicated to providing traumatic brain injury and psychological health condition care, research, and education.
