What effect does traveling nearly 4 million miles and spending 10 days in space have on the human body? Hear how NASA keeps humans alive and well in orbit from former NASA astronaut Mary Cleave, Ph.D. P.E., who flew on the space shuttle Atlantis in 1985 and 1989. Cleave retired from NASA as the Associate Administrator for Science in 2007. Learn how her experiences are inspiring a new generation of scientists.
